| Abstract: | This is a portrait of John H. Tutwiler, a prominent Memphian who helped establish the College in Memphis and served as a Trustee. The portrait was painted by George Oberteuffer, an American artist who lived from 1878 to 1940. The portrait was displayed at the Dixon Gallery and now (2007) resides in Hyde Hall on campus. |
