| Abstract: | An advanced study of conceptual and practical aspects of accounting as a control system. Topics will include measurement of organizational performance, resource allocation, activity base costing, break-even analysis, process costing, cost variances, transfer pricing, and choosing among alternative projects. Students will analyze case studies, work problems similar to real-world situations, read journal articles on current cost issues, and prepare written reports and presentations. Prerequisites: Completion of core courses. |
