Abstract: | 1. To develop the student’s ability to understand, appreciate, and employ the application of music theory, history, and performance styles and techniques as they relate to playing the piano. 2. To enhance the student’s communication skills through performing and listening to music. 3. To help the student develop good practice habits. 4. To challenge the student to excel at and surpass his/her pianistic level. 5. To encourage the student to see music as a lifelong pursuit, one filled with enthusiasm, self-discipline, and inspiration. |
