dc.description.abstractOne of the founders of Stewart College, Clarksville, Tennessee; Robb Hall on Clarksville campus named in his honor. He was a delegate to the Democratic National Conventions of 1860 at Charleston and Baltimore. He enlisted in the Confederate Army at Clarksville on Nov 29, 1861, Co. A, 49th TN Infantry. He was elected Lieut. Col. of his regiment on Dec 26, 1861. Robb was mortally wounded at Fort Donelson on Feb 15, 1862 and died two days later on February 17. He was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Clarksville.en_US
