Abstract: In this course you will become familiar with materials and techniques of acrylic painting and explore how artists through the centuries used painting to express their vision. The course will consist of in-class and homework assignments. We will work primarily from observation. The subjects will include still life, landscape, and portraiture. The course will be supplemented with technical demonstrations, critiques, and slide lectures.
