Abstract: | Cells are the fundamental units of life. This course will be an examination of the structure and function of life at the cellular level. Topics include the organization of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, the role of proteins in cell structure and metabolism, membrane structure and function, bioenergetics, interactions between a cell and its environment, and the mechanisms of heredity. |
