Abstract: | This course will introduce students to the process of writing poetry and the workshop experience. We will read a variety of poetic forms to become familiar with the discourse of “contemporary” poetry, and to become more adept at reading and writing poems. Through the experience of reading, writing, workshopping, and revising, students will work towards a collection of poems that will make up their final portfolio. |
