Calculus provides powerful tools for modeling real-world problems. This course will provide a thorough introduction to differential calculus and an introduction to integral calculus. You will learn both to apply calculus and how the material itself is developed. While being able to perform computations and solve problems will be essential, you will also learn to construct arguments and proofs to justify the theorems and their consequences. This course is distinct from Math 115, Applied Calculus. However, due to the overlap in content, students may not earn credit for both Math115 and Math 121. Information in which course is appropriate for whom may be found at http://rhodes.edu/mathcs/21458.asp . Students that are not sure if they have chosen the correct course should consult with me as soon as possible.en_US
