Abstract: This image shows a fragment of a white marble kouros, or depiction of a standing nude male youth common in sculpture of the Archaic Greek period. This sculpture dates from the late 6th century BCE and it was discovered in Bisanthe in eastern Thrace. This object is located at the Istanbul Archaeological Museums in Istanbul, Turkey.
Description: Photograph by Dr. Francesca Tronchin, June, 2011. This image was migrated out of MDID and into DLynx during the summer of 2014.
