Abstract: This image shows a detail of a funerary stele of a young soldier carved in white marble. The stele, or upright stone slab, is from Pella, Greece, and it dates from around 430-420 BCE. This object is located at the Istanbul Archaeological Museums in Istanbul, Turkey.
Description: Photograph by Dr. Francesca Tronchin, June, 2011. This image was migrated out of MDID and into DLynx during the summer of 2014.
