Abstract: This image shows a statue of Marsyas under Apollo's punishment carved in white marble. The Statue of Marsyas, dated to the Hellenistic period, was found in Tarsus, a historical city in south-central Turkey. This object is located at the Istanbul Archaeological Museums in Istanbul, Turkey.
Description: Photograph by Dr. Francesca Tronchin, June, 2011. This image was migrated out of MDID and into DLynx during the summer of 2014.
