Abstract: This image shows a detail of the portrait of a philosopher on the Sidamara sarcophagus. The carved marble sarcophagus is from Ambararasi and it dates from the late 3rd century CE. This object was photographed at the Istanbul Archaeological Museums in Istanbul, Turkey, in 2011.
Description: Photograph by Dr. Francesca Tronchin, June, 2011. This image was migrated out of MDID and into DLynx during the summer of 2014.
