Abstract: "View north from the parking lot behind the Briggs Student Center. I believe the background shows the construction site for the outdoor pool, which was later replaced by a women's gym, and ultimately by the Bryan Campus Life Center. Back then it seemed as if the college enjoyed vast territory for expansion, but visit today and you'll see it's pretty much 'full up'. Note: This is a view looking north towards Mallory Gymnasium amd the construction for the Alburty outdoor pool. The pool has remained in this location and in 1998 it was surrounded on three sides by the Bryan Campus Life Center.
Description: This image was taken by Edward Uthman, Class of 1974, and used with his permission. "Any digital editing was aimed at improving the technical quality, mostly softening some of the grain, restoring the dynamic range, and removing dust and scratches. Other than cropping, there has been no alteration of content, so these are real scenes as they really appeared a third of a century ago."
