Abstract: This image shows the entrance to the plutonium at the ancient city of Hierapolis (also spelled Hieropolis). The plutonium is located next to the Temple of Apollo. It was photographed near the modern city of Pamukkale, Turkey, in 2011.
Description: Photograph by Dr. Francesca Tronchin, June, 2011. This image was migrated out of MDID and into DLynx during the summer of 2014.
