Abstract: Plaque inscription: "The Briggs Student Center, made possible by the foresight and generosity of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Winston Briggs and dedication to the living memory and abiding vision of Thomas Winston Briggs (1866-1964). Founder and president of Welcome Wagon International. Creative thinker and business statesman, unselfish citizen and faithful friend. Forever young in spirit and dreamer of great dreams. 'It appears to me that I am continually under obligation to my friends... At least when I pass on, I will have the consolation of knowing, while on Earth, I did one good deed.'" (Excerpt from a letter written by Mr. Briggs referring to the Student Center)
