Abstract: This is a postcard which cautions automobile drivers to wait for trains to go by before crossing the tracks. It has a postmark of 1924. Around 1922, an intense campaign to reduce the growing rate of fatalities at railroad crossing was created by the American Railway Association and was endorsed by President Waring Harding on May 25, 1922. Description: This 3x5 postcard was printed by the Sales Printing Corporation New York. It has a divided back with a message, address, stamp and postmark.
