Before Rhodes College moved to Memphis in 1925, it was located in Clarksville, TN and was called Southwestern Presbyterian University (SPU). The images in this exhibit were in a photo album belonging to Ulysses Short Gordon (1893-1976) and provide a special glimpse into college life at Southwestern Presbyterian University around 1915. Unfortunately, there were only a few notes identifying the groups or the individuals in the photos. Gordon became a Presbyterian minister.
