Abstract: This is an eye-level view of the Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee about 1935. In 1925, this $5 million hotel, designed by architect Walter Ahlschlager, opened at its present downtown Memphis location on Union Avenue. This image is part of a souvenir folder postcard set entitled Memphis Tennessee The Gateway to the South and the West.
