Cape Dorset 1971

Abstract

A calendar cover dated "1971" in red in the top right corner of the front. The print in the top left reads: "Calender: / Cape Dorset / Eskimo / prints" in both French and English. A large owl illustration takes the center of the calender cover's front. Small markings are printed in black and red in the bottom left corner of the cover. Red borders. The back is completely red with white text along the left side reading: "West Baffin / Eskimo Co-operative / Limited / Cape Dorset Eskimo Print Calender, including thirteen / prints by Lucy, reproduced in their original full coulour. / Published by the West Baffin Eskimo Co-operative Limited, / Cape Dorset, Northwest Territories. / Distributed by Canadian Arctic Producers Limited / 141 Catherine Street, Ottawa, Canada". This is repeated below in French. Text in the bottom left corner reads: "PRINTED IN CANADA � 1971 [...] COVER - Lucy's Owl". There is a large vertical rip along the cover's back, stretching from top to bottom. Small holes in the center of the top and bottom borders from apparent hanging. Ripping in top left corner.
