Abstract: This is a portrait of Frazier Jelke wearing a plaid blue suit and sitting down with his legs crossed and arms over his legs. The sky has many clouds in the background behind him. The artist’s signature is unrecognizable but is in the bottom left of the piece in red. The piece is surrounded by a decorative metallic frame with a plaque in the bottom center that reads “Frazier Jelke/ 1886-1953 / International Banker and Philanthropist / The Frazier Jelke Science Center, dedicated October 19, 1968, / was given in his memory by the Trustees of the Frazier Jelke Foundation".
