| dc.description.abstract | A large, heavy bronze coin minted under Trebonaius Gallus. On the Obverse is a radiate cuirrassed bust of the emperor facing left and holding a spear with a heavily worn out inscription, which originally read "C BI TER GALLOC AUGU" in greek lettering. On the reverse is a portrait of the emperor on a horse surrounded by another inscription which reads "NIKOMHDIWN DIS NEWKOR/WN" also in greek. This coin dates from 251 to 253 CE. | en_US |
