dc.description.abstractFor the Urban Art Commissions 10th anniversary, the Poetry Panels was installed and painted by volunteers. Eight popular songs lyrics about Memphis were written in white on top of red 4 feet high wooden panels spanning 48-feet in width. A few of the artists featured are Roy Acuff, Big Bill Broonszy, Jerry Lewis and Rufus Thomas.en_US
