Abstract: General Description: This medal was issued to raise money for war orphans shortly after WWI. Such medals were used by many other countries for the same cause and often featured famous artists or works of art.
Obverse Description: The obverse bears the upper half of Michelangelo's David with the inscription of "FORZA BELLEZZA / BONTA" in the surround. Reverse Description: The reverse has the words VITTORIA A CHI LOTTA (Victory to who fights) ORFANI GUERRA (War Orphans).
