Handbooks for students have been distributed for various purposes at Rhodes College. Handbooks include information about the history of the school, student rules and regulations, organizations, the administration and faculty andthe campus This community includes collections general student handbooks, as well as specialized handbooks that were for only women students or for residents of certain dormitories. The first handbook in the collection was published by the Students of the College in 1914, when the college was located in Clarksville. Although handbooks were published by various student organizations, they were sanctioned by the College. In more recent years the handbooks have been created and distributed by the Dean of Students office.
