| Abstract: | This statue by Edwin Rust is of Charles E. Diehl who was president of the College from 1917 until 1948. It is 9 feet tall and in bronze. It was sculpted by Edwin Rust and stands in front the Burrow Building at Rhodes College. Dedicated on October 8, 1983, it was provided by the Class of 1933 in gratitude to Charles E. Diehl, President 1917-1949, and to his devoted
administrative assistant Erma Reese Solomon. |
