We will explore several drawing media and their associated techniques including graphite, ink & conte’. Here you have the opportunity to consider objects and concepts visually while remaining open to the possibilities for what a drawing can be. Expect to work in and out of class. Drawing in class is a major emphasis but is not the only effort required of you. Significant drawings and projects will be done outside of class. If this is not what you had in mind you may want to reconsider taking this course. Scheduled slide lectures and/or material & technique demonstrations will be given in conjunction with assignments. The material covered during lectures & demos is impossible to make up and you are responsible for any information distributed on these days.
