Abstract: Plaque inscription:"The Frazier Jelke Science Center, given by the trustees of the Frazier Jelke Foundation for the advancement of knowledge. In memory of Frazier Jelke, of Newport, Rhode Island (1886 - 1953), international banker and philanthropist. 'The end of our foundation is the knowledge of causes and secret motions of things; and the enlarging of the bounds of human empire, to the effecting of all things possible.' - Sir Francis Bacon. 19 October 1968."
