This building, devoted to the fine arts, the study of anthropology and psychology, and to continuing liberal education for citizens of the Mid-South, was made possible by generosity of: Mrs. S. DeWitt Clough (Chicago) in memory of her hisband and gifts from Miss Etta D. Hanson (Memphis), Mr. and Mrs. Hugo N. Dixon (Memphis), Mr. C.W. Kempkau (Nashville), Mrs. Alicia Mellon Bruge (New York), The Edward J. Meeman Foundation (Memphis), Goldsmith Foundation, Inc. (Memphis), Geo. H. McFadden & Bro. Fund, Inc.
