dc.description.abstractThe Rev. Neander Woods, was Chancellor of the College from June 1905 to 1908. Just before the Civil War, Dr. Woods started college at Kentucky University. When the war started, he withdrew rom college and joined the Confederate Army and served in the cavalry. When the war ended, he attended the University of Michigan and graduated in 1867. After graduation he studied law at the University of Washington in Saint Louis and was admitted to the bar. He then attended Union Theological Seminary in Hampden Sydney, VA.en_US
