dc.description.abstractDr. Lyon was the head of the Department of Natural Sciences at SPU from 1885 until ?. He graduated from Princeton in 1872 and was recipient of the Mathematical Fellowship Prize. He then studied law at the University of Mississippi and recieved his LL.B. in 1874. He earned his doctoate from Princeton College in 1882.en_US
