Abstract: French 202 takes a four-skill approach to language learning. It is designed for students who have already attained minimum proficiency in speaking, reading, writing and listening comprehension skills as well as in cultural literacy. In 202, these skills will be developed in a grammar review that continues what was begun in 201, as well as in written assignments, class discussions, and listening comprehension materials studied in- and outside of class. Special attention will be paid this semester to developing the student’s reading skills through an exploration of literature and other texts focused on French and francophone cultures. The course will be taught entirely in French and it is expected that students speak French at all times while in class.
