| Abstract: | Louise Stratmann is in the middle bottom of the image of the 1929 girl's basketball team. She was inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame in 2000. She was a member of the first graduating class after the College was moved to Memphis and she helped establish the first women's basketball team at the College. She organized a group of women known as the "Kittens" who played basketball. She also organized a women's baseball team. After graduating, she became the first director of women's physical education at Rhodes and held that position until 1944. |
