Abstract: In this course you will become familiar with materials and techniques of acrylic painting and explore how artists through the centuries used painting to express their vision. We will work primarily from observation in the landscape. In this course the definition of “landscape“ will encompasses both the natural and the man made world. The course will be supplemented with technical demonstrations, critiques, and slide lectures. Projects will include in-class work as well as homework assignments.
