Abstract: Students will work with other students and artists from community in all aspects of the collaborative processes: from conception of ideas to the execution and design of projects. This course will explore a variety of media involved in drawing and painting. Class discussion, lectures, as well as readings will supplement the studio work. Collaborative Drawing and Painting will allow students to investigate new models of studio practice. By creating a situation where less experienced artists work side by side with more experienced artists there is a more immediate and direct learning environment for students and instructors alike.
Description: This syllabus was submitted to the Rhodes College Office of Academic Affairs by the course instructor.
