Abstract: | You must come to class prepared to discuss all the material in the reading assignments, including the textbook, so that we can begin to understand how to interpret -- rather than simply to memorize -- factual information. In my lectures, I will often elaborate on the information contained in the textbook, but I will frequently add new material too. Then we will spend our class time trying to interpret that and other material as historians. |
