Abstract: This image shows a detail of a relief of Gigantomachy. The giants have snakes for legs and are depicted at war with the Olympians. This relief is from Aphrodisias and dates from the 2nd century CE. It was photographed at the Istanbul Archaeological Museums in Istanbul, Turkey, in 2011.
Description: Photograph by Dr. Francesca Tronchin, June, 2011. This image was migrated out of MDID and into DLynx during the summer of 2014.
