This image is from a collection created by Etta Hanson and given to the College in 1954. All items are from Otto Ege's estate. There is a typed description at the bottom of the mat, which reads: “The Roman types, based on those of Jenson and designed by Cobden-Sanderson with the assistance of Sir Emery Walker, have been called by Pollard the finest roman types in existence; and Ransom, commenting on the Doves Press Books, in which these were used, states “they approach dangerously near to absolute perfection.””en_US
