dc.description.abstractThe Mednikow Jewelers Building was built in 1937. The Art deco building made of concrete is located at 1 South Main Street in Downtown Memphis. Continuous horizontal bands of windows surround the sides facing Main Street and Madison Avenue. The building is currently privately owned serving as a commercial site with a restaurant on the main floor. There are engaged columns in between each window on the second floor. There are blind windows across the top floor of the building. There is an interesting metal sculpture attached to the roof of the building.
