This building was photographed and uploaded to DLynx during the summer of 2016 by the Visual Resources Center.en_US
The Riverwalk and River Museum was designed by Roy P. Harrover and his team from 1974 to 1982. It is located at 125 North Front Street in Downtown Memphis. The building is Modern in architectural style. There are large strip windows surrounding the entire building. It is made of stone and houses a museum. The most interesting part of this site, however, is the model of the Mississippi River. The model shows where the river flows and how full the river is on that day. It is entirely to scale and offers a great amount of history. The model features a detailed view of Memphis and the rivers that feed into the Muddy Mississippi.
