Abstract: This is a third-year Japanese language course for the students who have completed J202. We use a different textbook: Japanese for Everyone. Japanese is often considered to be one of the most difficult language to acquire for western learners. True, no one can master the language in two years. Though you have covered all the basic grammar of Japanese in the past two years, you can easily lose part of or most of what you learned unless you review and use the patterns constantly. What makes the learning of Japanese difficult is the fact that you have to learn concepts of the language which are quite different from English.
Description: This syllabus was submitted to the Office of Academic Affairs by the course instructor.
