Description: | Interview with Nell S. Aspero, a long time native of Memphian who was heavily involved in the Vollintine Evergreen community. Aspero lived in the neighborhood since her childhood and attended Snowden Middle School and Trinity Methodist Church, two long time institutions of the community. She discusses many of the small businesses that have been in the area and the change Rhodes College, known then as Southwestern, made in the development of the neighborhood. She also discusses her time practicing law and her experience working with E.H. Crump. This interview was conducted in 1979. �� |
