Description: Interview with Irving Sachrit, member of the Vollintine-Evergreen neighborhood. Sachrit discusses the many social changes that happened during the period of desegregation. She mentions white flight, block-busting, and the integration of the neighborhood churches. Sachrit also talks about how locally owned businesses are affected by chain stores, and how that has affected her neighborhood. This interview was conducted in 1979.
