Description: Interview with Charles and Jean Scruggs, two residents of the VECA neighborhood. The Scruggs talk about their experience as a black couple moving to the neighborhood during a transitional period of integration. They discuss their involvement in the VECA organization and how they dealt with white flight. The Scruggs also mention the positive and negative affects public policy has had on the surrounding area. This interview was conducted in 1979. �
