They mention the strong sense of community two civic organizations, Hyde Park Garden Club and Hyde Park Civic Association, brought to the neighborhood. The Webbers sold their house in Hyde Park to the first black family in the neighborhood, they recall neighbors' reaction to the desegregation of the area. This interview was conducted in 1979. �
