Abstract: Historical Background:
General Description: It is believed that the medal was made in 1975, when the Villa Flaminia school that is commemorated on the reverse took on its new name.
Obverse Description: The obverse bears a right-facing portrait of Michelangelo, surrounded by the inscription "MICHELANGELO".
Reverse Description: The reverse bears the crest of the Villa Flaminia school, with two lions holding up a shield with symbols of a star and a book with the words "FIDES" and "SCIENTIA". Underneath these is inscribed "VILLA FLAMINIA".
