Abstract: | General Description: An off-white huipil that has been embroidered with purple, red, blue, green, and orange. It is one piece of fabric that is open to be worn as a shirt. The designs are primarily grometric in the center with other floral/geometric designs on the sides. It was woven in the village of San Pedro, Sacatepequez, Guatamala. It is from the Mrs. Toesika T. Roach collection purchased in May 1948. Condition Description: Fraying around the edges. Dirty and slightly stained. |
