Abstract: | This is an image of the remains of a mid 6th century chryselephantine votive statue to Apollo. The head and long, abstracted braids are mostly intact, along with the feet. Arranged around the statue are several carved ivory scenes from the Argonautic campaign, gold sheets, and a variety of jewelry. |
Description: | This image was digitized and added to Dlynx by the Visual Resources Center during summer, 2023. The metadata was created by students enrolled in Dr. Miriam Clinton's Greek Art classes. The student cataloger's name can be found in the dc.contributor.advisor field. |
