Boyd currently batting 339 with 37 stolen bases in 138 coast league games, will report to the White Sox at Cleveland tomorrow in advance of a three-game series against the second-place Indians. The White Sox originally signed Boyd during mid-season of 1950 when he was a member of the Memphis Red Sox in the Negro American League. He was assigned to Colorado Springs to finish the 1950 season in the class a western league. Boyd went to Spring training with the White Sox, last March and was sent to Sacramento on option at the start of the current campaign.
