J.B., by Archibald MacLeish, is a fresh and exalting morality play. One of the most memorable works of the century—as verse, as drama, and as a spiritual inquiry—J.B. depicts the suffering of the world and the injustices of our times through the biblical character of Job. In some small way, J.B. also reflects every person in society, whether they consciously realize it or not.
