Abstract
This image shows the Temple of Olympian Zeus, also known as the Olympieion. This view of the temple shows the Acropolis in the background. Construction of the Temple of Olympian Zeus began during the 6th century CE, and was not completed until the 2nd century under the rule of Roman Emperor Hadrian. This image was photographed in Athens, Greece, in 2011.
